As most of you know Sarah has a congenital heart defect called TOF (Tetralogy of Fallot). She is going to require open heart surgery once home, however based on conservations with the pediatric cardiologist the long term prognosis is excellent and she will be able to do anything she wants (sports, dance, etc..). We got a call yesterday from our adoption agency and the orphanage said Sarah was up for her surgery and they want to know if they should go ahead and do the surgery now in China or do we want to wait until she gets to the US late this summer? Wow? Who would have known we would be making such an important decision already! We have talked with several people and have submitted some questions back to the orphanage to help us make a decision. There are pros and cons both ways, but just breaks my heart that she may have to go through surgery without us to hold her and take care of her, but I also don’t want her to have lung damage by continuing to wait. Please pray that we are able to get the answers we need to make the right decision! We feel very blessed that the orphanage already recognizes us as her parents and gave us the opportunity to make this decision. We will keep you posted on what is decided…

Welcome..
Thank you for visiting! We are looking forward to sharing our journey of bringing Sarah Elizabeth Guy home. We long for the day we can hold her in our arms and show her the love we have for her! The kids are getting more and more excited each day and we are thrilled that they will be able to go to China with us. Right now we are waiting on our referral acceptance (RA) which we are hoping will come in April. Best guess on travel right now would be June, but we have several more steps so that is still a guess at this point.
